The IQ distribution curve is the sole reason why there will never be an universal, general revolution that liberates absolutely every mind and body from indignities. If every person learnt to hate advertisement and marketing, their new sentiments would eventually be exploited by a new generation of advertisement and marketing engineered by people with an average of 100 IQ (but most likely designed by someone of ~130 IQ), and all progress would be reset. Essentially, any possible "revolution" would ultimately end up as an isomorphism from the old culture to the new culture. The new culture would have the exact same structure, only the superficial looks and language used would change.
